There are four things I love the most in life: Pilates, sunshine, good food, and my dog.

I realized that by starting Playa Pilates I could combine three of those things into one amazing experience.

Wait…. I could probably also bring my dog…

With extensive Pilates training and years of teaching experience, I bring both technical expertise and a spirit of adventure to every retreat.

Relax in your own oasis during our seven day sun-soaked retreat of movement, connection, good food and even better company on the shores of Puerto Escondido.

Each suite comes with an attached spa-inspired bathroom and features stunning garden and ocean views. In this option, the suite has 2x twin beds (or can be combined for 1 king bed). You’re welcome to bring a roommate with you, or we’ll happily pair you with another guest. Price is per person.

Each morning, local fishermen depart at sunrise and return at dusk to sell their catch directly to restaurants and families, preserving the authentic fishing village character that makes this location so special for retreat experiences.

Our daily Pilates classes are designed to meet you exactly where you are while gently challenging you to discover what your body is truly capable of.

Drawing from 2 years of teaching experience and my background in musical theatre, I bring an intuitive approach that takes you out of your head and into your body - where real peace and connection happen.

I combine my knowledge of functional strength training, dance training, breathwork through singing, and deep Pilates training to create sessions that are both challenging and nurturing. Whether you're a complete beginner or seasoned practitioner, my classes maintain the core Pilates principles that have transformed my own relationship with movement.

What makes me most excited to bring to the table is seeing the transformation in people through movement, and the connections they make that make them feel strong and empowered.

Having discovered Pilates as my true passion after years exploring everything from Olympic lifting to ballet, I understand the transformative power of finding your movement practice. My creative, welcoming approach ensures that each class becomes a space where you can challenge yourself safely, find your strength, and most importantly, reconnect with the joy of moving your body in this incredible setting.

There is something powerful about giving yourself the space to breathe, grow, and reconnect alongside others doing the same.

Lean into the excursions and group activities if you’re longing for community, or take the team to really make space for solo time. The choice is up to you to use it as you please.

All activities and excursions are considered optional for you to attend.

FAQs

  • Passport required, no visa required. Travel insurance recommended (Blue Cross).

  • Extremely safe. Just avoid flashing expensive items and take luggage directly to accommodation.

  • Fly directly into Puerto Escondido (PXM) via Aeromexico, VivaAerobus, or Volaris from Mexico City or other cities. Alternative: Fly into Huatulco (HUX, 2-hour drive) or Oaxaca City (3-hour bus/taxi or 1-hour Aerotucan).

  • $500 deposit fully refundable if cancelled within 48 hours of enrollment and 30+ days before departure. Payments within 30 days are non-refundable. Balance payments: 100% refund if 90+ days before retreat, no refunds within 90 days.
